Dearest Jere and Sheri,
I was so saddened to hear about your mom's passing. Deloris was one special lady. I had worked along side of Deloris for years through the Learning Disability Association. She was a tireless warrior in working toward improving the lives of children and their families. My two children were adopted so we had a very special bond. I am looking at a piece of paper that your mom gave to me, April 16, 2011. I had asked her to write down a quote that she would often repeat. I told her to write it down so I would not forget. "Have my actions today, caused someone to stray or have I helped them along life's way" (?) (God's Way). We all have been so blessed with knowing Deloris, your mom. Let's all continue to use the blessings that she has graced us with to continue to do good. Peace be with you both!

To Sheri, Jere, and family,
You all have my most sincere condolences for the passing of your dear mom and my wonderful neighbor for 22 years.
I couldn't have asked for nicer people to live in the house next door. Your mom and dad welcomed me from day one. "If I ever need anything, just ask.", Glen offered. And when I was outside working and saw Mrs. Miller, I knew I could get a break by meeting her halfway and talking a while. I will miss those wonderful conversations.
May God bless her soul.

Dear Jere and Sheri and families,
I was saddened to read of your Mom's passing. I recall the many times we talked and shared smiles/laughs and comments on life in general. We seemed to be neighbors forever. (I moved from Manheim in 1995 - and our family was the first to move to that part of North Laurel Street in October, 1955).
I especially recall how much my Dad enjoyed long conversations with Delores. It was always amazing to me that there were any problems left in the world to solve after their conversations!
May fond memories of her comfort you during your grief - and remember to smile when you think of her and your Dad.
Sincerest sympathy,
Dennis Denenberg

I was saddened to see that Deloris had passed. I have known her for over 30 years especially through the Lancaster Learning Disabilities Association. I frequently had the opportunity to talk with her regarding our children and their differences. Please know that she loved her son and daughter more than anything else. She was devoted to doing whatever it took to help make them successful. She was a loving, religious woman who devoted most of her time to helping others. I now know where she is and she is enjoying her reward for selfishly sacrificing for those she dearly loved. Deloris I will enjoy speaking with you again. Love, Kathleen

Delores was always so kind and warm to me. She was so happy to see me and interested in my life and kids. She was the kind of person you not only were thankful that she was your neighbor but your life was valued and more special when she was around. It was a privilege to have known her. She will be greatly missed. I want to carry on her legacy of love by being a good neighbor to others. Praying for the family at this difficult time.

Deloris was a great friend to my Mom , Shirley Cogley. I remember going to the Millers house and hanging out with Sherri and Jere. We had a great time laughing and having so much fun! Deloris was so welcoming and kind when we came over for a visit!
