Obituary of Bruce W. Heffner

Bruce W. Heffner, 73, of Elizabethtown, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 20, 2022. Born in Binghamton, NY, he was the son of the late William A. and Mary (Parker) Heffner. He was the loving husband of Deborah A. (Axelson) Heffner.

Bruce was an active missionary of Community Bible Church. He proudly served our country in the United States Army. He enjoyed music and performing Gospel magic. Bruce served as a missionary all over the world including Hungary, Bahamas, Portugal, Kenya, Poland, Germany, Ukraine, Romania, Czech Republic, Italy, Argentina, Chile, Haiti and many more places.

In addition to his wife, Bruce is survived by his two children, Andrew Heffner and wife Becky, of Pittsburgh, and daughter Ashley Heffner, of Elizabethtown; three grandchildren, Elana, Isaac, and Aaron Heffner; one brother, Randy Heffner and wife Cathy, of Harrisburg, and his five trumpets. He was preceded in death by a brother, William Heffner.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday morning, February 26, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Community Bible Church, 331 Anderson Ferry Road, Marietta, PA 17547. There will be no public viewing. The family will receive guests at the church on Saturday from 10AM until the time of the service. The family will greet guests during a luncheon at the church immediately following the service.
