We attended college with Garrett and Kristie years ago. Kristie and I were even roommates for a year - so many memories! I remember one time Kristie and I were in the old snack shop area, and I was trying to talk to her about something. However, I was having a hard time getting her attention (which wasn't like Kristie). When I followed her gaze to where she kept looking, I noticed Garrett was working behind the counter of the snack shop. She kept blushing and trying to catch his attention between customers. I believe they had just started dating at the time, and she was totally smitten.❤️
Later after we were all married, we became closer friends. We worked with Garrett and all went to the same church in Jefferson, WI. We would often go to Culver's after church, eat fries and custard, and just tell stories and laugh. We bought our first houses together and laughed at the fact that your house had an old bear hide fermenting in a barrel in your basement. Kristie was always so clean and neat, so I scrubbed my house every time to make sure it was clean before you came over. Remember the time we heard a commotion and our cat came in dragging its butt on the ground to get its poop off its fur? We all laughed so hard we cried!
Jobs moved you away from Wisconsin, which made us so sad. But someday we will be able to be together again. Heaven is all the more sweeter knowing you're there! Love you, Kristie (and Garrett).

Kristie was a true compliment to Garrett.❤️ His dad, Don, loved her like a daughter & bought her a thick flannel shirt so she wouldn't be cold at our home. When Don fell asleep in death, Kristie sent me a funny little quip or cartoon each day for weeks. Family was always first, but she was also thoughtful of others. Lyle and I are glad she's no longer suffering, continue praying for Garrett, Emma, and Austin, and look forward to welcoming her back at the Resurrection.
