I didn't know Walt had passed!! He helped Keith and I buy our first home in 1983. He and Rachel gave us solid advice and we valued their friendship through the years. May God surround Rachel constantly with His comforting presence. Beverly Gill

Walt was a real friend that I met at Grace Chapel in the late 70's he was an usher there. I had many happy hours and days with Walt fishing, hunting, building the cabin near Raystown Lake and doing woodworking in his cabinet shop and building homes together. Walt was a very giving person in many ways. Walt and I both got our deer one morning near the cabin so we came back to work on the cabin and I went out to move a 2X10X16 on the screened in porch in back of cabin and it dropped out of my hands and hit the deck flat and it sounded like a rifle shot going up the mountain, I said to Walt the next time a road hunter comes I am going to drop this plank, he said here they come so I dropped it like a single shot then paused and dropped it in succession 4 more time he said get in here and grab a hammer and pound on the floor if you crack a smile I will shoot you there was a car load of hunters stopped below the cabin in front and above the cabin. After they left we laughed so hard we were crying our ribs hurt. Walt and Rachel were like peas in a pod they did everything together and gave sound advice when needed, they lived a life of christian values and raised a great family to carry on the heritage.

What a surprise this morning when we opened the paper and saw of Walt passing. We want to express our deepest sympathy to you and your family. What memories we have - going back to our early days of marriage, working in the bank and doing a vacation with you and Walt. Always loved when our paths would cross. Prayers for you Rachel as you grieve the passing of your husband.

We pray for you, Rachel, Cindy, and Tom and your whole family. We remember when we visited Walt in the hospital after his bypass surgery. He was so peppy and lively and excited about going home, which he did shortly afterward. We pray for you especially, Rachel, for strength and encouragement for the days ahead. We're sure you'll miss the love of your life. Blessings and love, Larry and Karen Hostetter
