Obituary of Kelly Lynn Brandt

Kelly Lynn Brandt, 52, of Lititz, PA, formerly of Montvale, NJ, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic while celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary with her husband, Charles P. “Chuck” Brandt, Jr. Born in Montvale, she was the daughter of James F. Meyers of Greenwood Lake, NY and Karen G. Grosvenor Meyers of Lititz.

After graduating from Pascack Hills High School in Montvale in 1990, she enrolled at Shippensburg University and graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and a minor in early childhood education. Presently, she was working toward a master’s degree from Millersville University.

Kelly was employed for 24 years as a support coordinator and trainer by Lancaster County Early Intervention Unit, specializing in autism and focusing on children ages birth to 3 years. She also devoted herself to her husband, daughter, and labradoodle, Max. She enjoyed camping and had a seasonal site at Splash Magic Campground in Northumberland. She also enjoyed having her feet in the sand on any beach, especially Ocean City, MD. Kelly was an avid fan of the band, The Badlees, and rarely missed a show. She was a huge fan of the movie Grease.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by a daughter, Cristina S. Brandt, at home; her brother, Brian, husband of Kim Meyers, of Park Ridge, NJ and their sons Justin and Jared; her mother-in-law, Gladys Schaeffer (Charlie Miller) of Lititz; and father-in-law, Charles P. “Phil” Brandt, Sr. of Manheim.
