Nanny, I know your in a better place now. You were a great person to be around. and a great grandmother. Where do I begin? Wow, I still feel like I'm dreaming. Mom you did it, you fought the fight, and fight you did. Till the good Lord seen you had enough. He sent the Angels to take you through the gates of Heaven. You are now singing with the Angels. I'm sure you will be watching over us through the rest of our days. I can't begin to say how much we loved your Mom and what a great friend she was to us,she'll always be in our hearts.It was wonderful to see how you all came together to honor,love and care for your Mom in this final journey knowing Mike and Michael will be waiting for her with open arms. I,have had the pleasure of knowing Joan since I,was 16 years old when she lived on Christian St. She always had a pleasent smile on her face who like having fun,she also was a great person to work with at K.D. I worked with Joan on a project at her home on New Street. She was such a sweet, hardworking, kind and humble person. She was so energetic and well organized and loved to talk about her family. I am sorry to hear of Joanie's passing and will miss seeing glimpses of her in the neighborhood- she was a really special lady and I am sure a source of strength that will be missed. Sincerely, Shelby Nauman Programs Director at JSID - helped Joanie with porch repairs, lighting etc in 2009.
