Obituary of Joseph H. Haddad

Joseph H. Haddad, 46, of 3 East Woods Drive, Lititz, PA, died unexpectedly Saturday morning, September 4, 2010 at home of natural causes. Born in Lancaster, PA, he was the son of Thelma F. Ogle Haddad of Lititz and the late Casper G. "Cap" Haddad. Joe was a 1982 graduate of Warwick High School and attended Millersville University. He was employed for 27 years as a mixer at Johnson & Johnson in Lititz. Joe had a quick wit and a sharp sense of humor. He had a love of sports throughout his life, having played baseball, and later softball, through his youth and young adult years. He also played football, which was his first love, from Midgets through high school. He later coached both baseball and football for many years, following in his beloved father's footsteps. Joe was a loving and devoted son, brother, uncle and friend. Joe's greatest loves were his family, his nephews and niece, and he cherished his dear friends and lifelong, childhood buddies. He also loved to hunt and enjoyed time at his lodge in Potter County, and he loved the Vikings and the Phillies. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister, Susan G. Faulkner of Schaefferstown, PA; three nephews, Noah (Jennifer) Faulkner of Columbia, PA, and Alex and Adam Faulkner, both of Schaefferstown, and a niece, Kiersten (Matt) Hartman of Lititz. Family and guests are invited to attend a funeral service on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 2:00 PM at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 200 West Orange Street, Lititz, PA with Minister Carl E. Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow in Longenecker's Brethren Cemetery, Lititz. There will be no viewing. The family will receive guests at the church on Thursday afternoon from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. The family requests that flowers please be omitted.
